Before arriving at the hotel

So, you’re gearing up for your trip and want to double-check your reservation. You call the hotel and, to your surprise, they haven’t even received it!

Don’t panic! Sometimes it can take some time for the booking site to communicate your reservation details to the hotel. If you still want to make sure, the booking site can help you with this.

If you need to get in touch with the booking site you used, most contact information can be found at the bottom of your booking confirmation. You can also follow the steps below.

Upon arrival at the accommodation

So you’re already at the hotel and they don’t have your reservation?

Don't worry. There are multiple reasons why the hotel might not have your reservation yet. In this cases, it's best to call the support number of the booking site you used. As they are responsible for your booking and payment process, they can help you out of this mess as soon as possible!

Finding the name of the booking site you used

Step 1

Search your email for keywords relating to your planned trip; the booking confirmation may have gone to your spam folder.

Nothing in there? Let’s try step 2.

Step 2

If the booking site has taken payment already, their name may appear next to the outgoing payment on your credit card, PayPal or bank statement.

Still nothing? No worries! There’s still hope!  

Step 3

Try checking your internet browser history for the day you booked. The name of the booking site should appear in your browser history.

Try recreating your original search to match the booking you did (i.e. same destination, same dates, same hotel) and click on what looks familiar.
